FAQs

  • Physical Therapy is an awesome wellness discipline that focuses on how our bodies function, specifically how our bodies move and how they can move their best. While it is a healthcare discipline backed by evidence-based scientific methods, physical therapy is as much as it is about people, the physical therapist, and the patient, as it is about restoring mobility. We firmly believe in this relationship first, putting you, the patient, and your desired body movement outcomes first. That is how we are different. Whether it is getting you back to work, sports, or just everyday activities, Fit to Move Physical Therapy and Wellness puts you first.

  • You will be treated by one of our experienced, personable physical therapists. Physical therapists are health care professionals who diagnose and treat people of all ages who may be suffering from health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional to more advanced activities in their daily lives. Our therapists hold a doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) and advanced credentialing in specialties such as orthopedics, manual therapy, and sports injury. Schedule an appointment today!

  • Accidents happen. A slip and fall. A twist this way when you meant to go that way. A car accident on the morning commute to work.

And should we dare mention the aging process alone? You may be experiencing more creaks and groans after decades of running, lifting, working, playing, and trying to play as hard as you used to.

Pain from basic to more advanced movements is commonplace as we age. You likely have suffered this pain at one or many points in your life. How you influence your healing process and change your thinking about healing is critical to a full recovery. And we mean a 100% recovery. Not only does everyone need an advocate in the process, but everyone also needs expert guidance in the process. That is who your physical therapist is, your expert and advocate who is going to guide you, challenge you, and cheer you on as you get better to move better. At Fit to Move Physical Therapy and Wellness, we practice a beginning-to-end, hands-on method of movement restoration using advanced manual therapy and neuromuscular techniques.

Your Fit to Move physical therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan intended to advance your ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent further disability. Your physical therapist will work with you to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for a healthier and more active lifestyle.

  • You are one of those super achiever types that when given any task of to-dos over 6 weeks, rise to the occasion and complete all your tasks thoroughly and on time. Unfortunately, the rest of us are not so disciplined. You can find a variety of free resources on YouTube and the Internet if you would like exercise advice from athletic trainers, physical therapists, and the like. These may be enough for you. But what you don’t get with these resources is an evaluative approach to your total mobility wellness, facilitated by a best-in-service physical therapist, a customized plan specific to your condition, and a proven method to move you to less pain and improved mobility. Once an evaluation is completed you will be provided with a customized exercise program designed to give you independence in managing your condition. And don’t forget that your physical therapist is there to: Help you, guide you, challenge you, and cheer for you. You can’t get that on the Internet.
